A Chicago Times article about the Tritsch House
Biking Enthusiasts
Alma boasts several hotels, motel, and B&B. One particularly inviting stay over
for weary cyclists is the Tritsch House, a turn- of- the-century Victorian
recently remodeled by Bill Barzydlo and his wife Sherry. It has four large
romantic bedrooms (three with a Jacuzzi), although the real treat arrives the
next morning in the dining room where Bill Barzydlo, a (Le) Corden Bleu chef
treats guest to a lavish four- coursed breakfast. Dishes like strawberries
sauvignon and meat-and-cheese strada are irresistible, and many provide riders
with the fuel they need to try the Great River Road Tour....that tracks the
burly Mississippi.
